Committed Leadership
Committed to our Schools
My commitment to our neighborhood schools has prepared me to serve on the school board. I have spent the last four years serving on the executive committee of Belmont Elementary’s PTA, serving as VP of Leadership and VP of Advocacy. I have spent time in schools helping with back to schools nights, fund raisers and classroom celebrations. I have been a judge for many years for the battle of the books program at Belmont. I have also volunteered in the library.
I currently sit on the School Community Councils at Belmont Elementary, Viewpoint Middle School and Skyridge High School, all schools where my children attend.
Community Councils play a vital role in enhancing the quality of education by giving parents a meaningful voice in school decisions. We collaborate closely with school administrators to make sure School Trust Land funds are spent thoughtfully and effectively. I take this responsibility seriously and remaincommitted to careful, respectful stewardship of the public funds entrusted to our schools by taxpayers.
Committed to Education
As a member of the Aspen Peaks School Board, I will prioritize listening to and learning from our classroom teachers AND PARENTS to inform thoughtful and effective decisions.
I graduated from BYU with a degree in Math Education and taught math in middle school for three years. Through all the years my children have been in pubic schools I have volunteered in the classroom helping teachers.
In Seattle I was an Art Docent for many classrooms teaching lessons on art concepts and artists. I would plan and execute a lesson once a month to elementary school children. The program was in place because there was not art specialty in our schools.
I am a member on the Utah State Library Board and support libraries as a great source of learning for all students.
I recognize that every student has unique educational needs. As a member of the Aspen Peaks School Board, I will prioritize listening to and learning from our classroom teachers to inform thoughtful and effective decisions.
Committed to Community
My commitment to public service extends beyond our neighborhood schools. I was an active member of my homeowners association board for three years, serving as president for two of those years and working to build collaborative relationships between neighbors.
In 2025 I participated in the Lehi City Government Academy which allowed me to better understand the political landscape in Utah and how I can support Lehi City.
I serve on the PARC Committee for Lehi City. The committee reviews the Cultural Organization Grant applications and gives a recommendation to City Council, ensuring that our community’s character is honored.
I am an active member of my Republican caucus and currently serve as precinct secretary. I am deeply committed to conservative principles and building collaboration between community members across the political spectrum.
